Eritrean job vacancy of Bisha Mining Project

Bisha Mining Share Company is inviting applicants for the following positions for Bisha
site project;
1. CAMP MANAGER

Major Duties and responsibilities
• Follow the maintenance of camp housing facilities including plumbing, painting,
carpentry, cleaning, and electrical duties.
• Ensure food service is provided in a clean and a safe environment every day.
• Prepares or supervises food supply orders and stores food.
• Makes arrangements for disposal of garbage in the camp.
• An excellent understanding Government laws, Occupational Health & Safety and
Employment Laws.
• Responsible for a proper service of housekeeping.
• Responsible for proper and standard laundry services.
• Assumes responsibility for maintenance schedule.
• Guide subordinates in the identification and achievement of the department goals
and objectives.
• Assumes responsibility for weekly camp attendance summary, program
evaluation, and other required reports.
• Assumes responsibility for inventory and ordering of recreational equipment and
supplies.
• Maintains open camp facilities with gardens and good landscaping.
• Aids in the evaluation of camp programs and personnel.
• Help support to mine development programs by working closely with different
departments.
• Performs related work as required.

Profile: Qualifications and Experience
• BA in Business Management or equivalent. Hospitality services. Computer skills.
• Organizing, Planning and administrative skills. Effective Oral & written
communication skills.
• Considerable knowledge of mechanical, carpentry, building construction, and
electrical skills.
• Knowledge of menu planning and food services.
• Ability to supervise the work of others.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with adults, youth,
and the general public.
• Ability to maintain financial records.
• Ability to operate and maintain grounds equipment.
• Ability to operate and maintain kitchen equipment.
• Ability to work independently.

2. Rigger
Major Duties and responsibilities
A. Safe lifting and transportation of heavy equipment or materials anywhere on site.
B. Routine inspection of all lifting equipment, slings, ropes, hooks and attachments
utilized in his assigned work to ensure that these are safe for continued usage.
C. Ensure that all inspections are entered in a log book and the equipment clearly marked
with the inspection date.
D. Plan job to maximize efficient use of available material, tools and lifting equipment
and reduce the time taken.
E. Ensure safe and correct working practices at all times, following Standard Operating
Procedure.
F. Train subordinates or less skilled tradesmen in order to raise their level of workmanship
to Bisha standards.
G. Ensure that Job exists with safe and effective lifting of equipment and materials using
the most efficient methods and transporting these materials securely by the most
appropriate means.
H. Ensure that lifting accidents are reduced to the lowest level.

Profile: Qualifications and Experience
• Trades qualifications as rigger.
• Certificate of competency for Safe Lifting and Attachments of Loads as laid down by a
recognized International Safety Organization.
• 5 years post trade experience of which 2 years must be in an industrial environment
with experience on at least 4 or more of the following: steel wire ropes and slings,
chain blocks, overhead cranes, tower cranes, mobile cranes, telescopic handlers,
forklifts.
• Formal post qualification training in safe lifting procedures.
• Preference will be given to demonstrate leadership experience. Evidence of former
training course presentation will be an added recommendation.
• Fluent in English language both written and verbal. Lifting equipment experience in
appreciation of standards and knowledge of the correct application of this equipment.
The ability to apply the most efficient work procedure to execute the work.

3. GEO TECHNICIAN
Major Duties and responsibilities
A. RQD recording.
B. Handling Reflex ACT tool
C. Mark core orientation.
D. Handle core.
E. Handle core boxes.
F. Collect, record and transport core boxes and core marks.
G. Assist site geologists.
Profile: Qualifications and Experience
• BA in Geography or related fields.
• Basic computer skills.
• Able to work without supervision and able to accept responsibility. Practical and
creative.
• Good communication skill in English. Ability to speak local dialects of the
communities areas of project will have an advantage. Having Driving License will
have an advantage.
• Safety conscious and enjoy working outdoors, sometimes in remote locations.
