Winning address by Andriata Chironda (Zimbabwe’s representative) and reigning Miss AfriCanada. Andriata Chironda (Zimbabwe) plays the Mbira (the national instrument of Zimbabwe) for her talent during Miss AfriCanada 2009 pageant.
The mbira dzavadzimu “voice of the ancestors”, is a musical instrument that has been played by the Shona people of Zimbabwe for thousands of years. The mbira dzavadzimu is frequently played at religious ceremonies and social gatherings and is considered a sacred instrument. First Question time: clip includes Miss South Africa, Miss DRC, Miss Eritrea and Miss Zimbabwe. Miss Zimbabwe, Andriata Chironda awarded the Best evening gown award for the earlier segment. Miss Congeniality went to Zmbabwe’s, Andriata Chironda. Miss Sierra Leone, Miss Zimbabwe, Miss DRC, Miss Eritrea, Miss Liberia.

Winner was Andriata Chironda of Zimbabwe, First Princess (Tiffany Bangala of DRC) and Second Princess (Luwam Thomas of Eritrea.
